TPMS Sensor Diagnosis & Replacement
For vehicles with factory tyre pressure sensors in the wheels, we test the system to find the affected sensor, confirm the fault, and program the replacement to your vehicle. We don’t work on indirect TPMS, which has no sensors in the wheels and uses the ABS wheel speed sensors instead. Sensor battery life varies by vehicle and usage; where multiple sensors are the same age, we can assess the remaining set before replacement.

We read the system to see exactly which wheel position has dropped out.

Replacement Sensor Programming
The new sensor is programmed to your vehicle, so it is recognised by the vehicle’s monitoring system without further configuration.

Fitment at Your Tyre Centre
Your fitment centre mounts the new sensor. As soon as the vehicle picks it up transmitting again, the tyre pressure light and error clear on their own. No further visit is required.
The programming charge applies per visit and remains the same whether one sensor or all four are replaced: R1,200 at our premises, or R1,800 for mobile service including call-out.
Because TPMS sensors in a set are typically installed at the same time, the remaining sensors may be approaching the end of their service life when the first failure occurs. Where appropriate, replacing multiple sensors during the same visit can reduce future programming costs and minimise repeat appointments.

Mobile Call-Out & Programming
On-site TPMS diagnosis and programming of one to four sensors at your home, workplace or other suitable location within a 40 km radius of Strubensvalley.
Sensors are charged separately. Locations further away are quoted on request.
Replacement & Programming
If the failed sensor has already been identified, the diagnostic assessment is not required. Programming at our premises is charged per visit, whether one sensor or four.

TPMS warning light on?
Diagnosis at our premises is R500. Programming is R1,200 per visit at our premises, or R1,800 for mobile service including call-out. Sensors are R500 each.
